So much love, care and effort go in to every piece, as Rocky takes great pains to source material responsibly and grows the plants she uses to dye herself. I am in such awe of her farm I hope to someday grow as as many amazing healing, nourishing and dynamically useful plants as Rocky does! Plants were not only used for dying in the process of making my pieces but Rocky also asked me many questions about what my favorite plants were and what kind of natural spaces made me feel safe then used plants from these answers to infuse into the my pieces. “These ropes are super beautiful. I'm so happy with them I've always loved all the great things {she} makes. They feel good to touch and they're vibrantly colored with natural dyes mine are blue and they make me think about the the beauty of the earth and remind me to support local businesses and sustainable practices from actual people who support the environment and spend time in the garden. They feel good physically to the touch, like exceptionally, but even more they just feel good to the heart knowing that it came from a grass roots literal garden powered member of the community.
